Coldwater and Quimby Motor Sports via Ken Quimby's 9Q sprint car, which
races regularly at nearby Butler
Motor Speedway. Ken has been racing for a number of years and is
ready to take the competition to the next level with additional
sponsorships from local Coldwater businesses for the 2010 racing
season.
2008 Season Results
In Ken's premier event racing for MyColdwater.com on August 23
for the All Stars Event, he had his best race ever, winning all
preliminary qualifiers and heats, and making it to the final "A Main"
race! Unfortunately, the beloved 9Q car broke down and was not able to
participate in the final race.
2009 Season Results
In mid-June, Ken again qualified for the "A Main" race, but the engine
suffered a major breakdown, and Ken was not able to participate in the
final race. With engine repair costs exceeding sponsorship dollars, the
car is most likely out for the rest of the 2009 season.
Nevertheless, this is the beginning of
exciting times for Quimby Motor Sports, and we look forward to
fantastic races ahead!
