Continuing the rapid progress, the new Biggby coffee shop now has its roof on.

Last night's Jim Stout concert was great! It was part of "Entertainment Under the Stars" which will be each Tuesday night in July at 7:30pm at the Four Corners. The turnout was great, partly due to the excellent weather and probably mostly due to the Branch County Association of Realtors' free ice cream sundaes! Click here to see more photos...

As the summer building season continues, no time is being lost in getting up the new walls at the new Biggby Coffee location. Similar progress is being made at VIP Auto and Lamplighter Lounge with their additions. The surprise of the summer is the complete lack of progress at project L (by Dunham's). Even though the project was approved by the city, my guess is that it has been cancelled by the developer (which might be wise, since all of Coldwater's major strip malls seem to have vacancies right now). At least Coldwater still gets its drive-thru coffee shop (although as you can see from the picture it's more than just a "shop"!).

There seems to be a lot more ducks, geese, and swans than usual at Waterworks park this summer. The weather has been great, too, so it is a good time to hang out at the park and watch all that is going on.

Here's a picture (taken June 14th) of the new drive-thru restaurant in front of the new "salmon colored strip mall" in front of Home Depot. A few days after this picture was taken, signs were put up indicating that the "restaurant" will be a Biggby coffee shop. This is somewhat of a surprise, as a rival coffee shop is also planned near Dunham's. I hope this will not hurt locally-owned Northwoods and The Big Eaze downtown.
