Coldwater Strawberryfest &
Craft Show 2009
It started out as a damp, overcast day...
but eventually the sun broke through
and turned out to be another great day for the 2009 Strawberryfest
(June 20th), sponsored by the Downtown
Business Association. The temperature was about
80°F. Swarms of people came out, possibly more than last year.
Another view at the Four Corners.
Tent sales of arts and crafts were everywhere!
And food too...
... but ironically, no strawberries! Unless you were one of the lucky
few to get there early. Three strawberry stands were completely sold
out by about lunchtime.
The Oasis of Love Church was back again with their bounce house and
other games for the kids.
Across the street, kids attempted "Double Dutch" ...
... and hula hoops...
Arthur Brogli was back again with his yodeling. I am proud to report
that he and his wife have now purchased a new home and have moved to
One of the biggest attention-getters of the Strawberryfest was my niece
with her wild hair style and face painting. Dozens of people started
asking her where they could get the same thing, and soon we saw other
mohawks on the sidewalks!
Here was the popular face painting booth.
