Kites Over Branch County 2008
Driving by the Creal Soccer Fields
in the north part of town, one couldn't help but notice all the kites
in the air. It was a beautiful day with a light breeze - perfect for
kite flying. These pictures were taken on Saturday, July 26, the second
day of the three day event.
Right by State Street flew a huge
shark kite. Interestingly, it was tethered to the ground while being
monitored nearby.
This is a close-up of the amazing
kite.
Many different kite flying clubs
from the surrounding area participated. This one was called "The
Bandana Gang".
This picture shows tents from some
of the other kite flying clubs.
