"Remember the Alamo" Car Cruise 2009

The Four Corners downtown marked the beginning of the "Remember the Alamo" Car Cruise, sponsored by the Downtown Business Association. The cruise was held on July 25 and lasted all afternoon and evening. The weather was great, and the event, which was huge in 2008, was even bigger in 2009 (more cars and more streets blocked off).

Sidewalk sales at Taylor's

Downtown businesses held "Midnight Madness" sidewalk sales into the evening.

Plenty of food was available...

...including "Aunt Mally's BBQ Shack" which set up a mobile stand behind Tibbit's. There was also a grilled chicken stand set up by the Masonic Temple (not shown).

It was fun to see the "Back to the 50s" bus.
