Coldwater Applefest &
Craft Show 2010
Despite some early morning and late
afternoon rain, downtown Coldwater was jammed yet again for the 2010
Applefest (September 18th), sponsored by the Downtown
Business Association. As you can see in the above photo, it was
often difficult to navigate through the crowds!
Tent sales were lined up everywhere.
Here's an example of some of the
items for sale.
The local radio station WTVB again
returned, as did the treat trucks.
At the corner of Monroe and Perl
Streets, a Wal-Mart semi truck was parked so kids could climb in and
see what it's like to be a real truck driver.
Here's the view from inside the
truck.
Yodeler Arthur Brogli returned to
the Applefest this year to perform for the crowds.
Roland Stoy, who can be found at
almost all major Coldwater events, takes a photograph for the Daily
Reporter.
Challenge: What are all these 25+
people standing in line for?
It's an unlikely, unmarked tent...
Answer: These apple doughnuts. They
were so good that "word of mouth" was causing people to wait in huge
lines just to get some!
The Oasis of
Love Family Church
continued
their tradition of having a carnival with games for the kids at the
Four Corners. Free
snacks were also provided.
