Date: 7/27/2010 2:38 PM Greetings Fellow TPers, Here's the latest and the Greatest FYI. Our 6th Branch County Tea Party will take place this Saturday, July 31, 2010 1:00pm in Downtown Coldwater. The theme is "The Value of the Vote" and we have invited candidates to appear and give a brief synopsis of why they are running for office and deserve your vote. This will be one of the last opportunities before Tuesday's August 3rd Primary to hear them speak. They will also be available for your questions afterward. We encourage you to attend. We need to keep our numbers large in order to continue showing and growing support for the Tea Party cause. So if you believe in the Constitution, Smaller Government, Lower Taxes, etc. Then SHOW UP SATURDAY and LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD! On another note the Tea Party conducted Q&A interviews with the candidates that responded to our invitation and these are available on YouTube. Search for robbinslines to view them. We also sent out a questionnaire for candidates to respond to and we will have those results available at the Tea Party or you can contact me and we'll get a copy to you...[See Email address at bottom of this Email]. We will be doing this again for the General Election in November. There are two other issues recently that we are concerned about and I would like to bring to your attention so that you can respond with a "Call To Action" in an appropriate manner. First, after allowing the Tea Party to display a banner at the four corners in downtown Coldwater, on five previous occasions, to advertise our upcoming events our request this time was denied. This decision was made by City Manager Jeff Budd and we feel is is discriminatory. We are taking action to address this situation, but could certainly use any the help we can muster from you. Call or email the City commissioners, Mayor, and City Manager and let them know how you feel about this. Here's their Info. Jeff Budd, City Manager jbudd@coldwater.org 517-279-9501 Eugene F. This is a bad bill and once again restrictive of freedom of speech. Please urge these Senators to VOTE NO on the Disclose Act.
